DAVID STARFIRE BIO
Named by BBC Radio as “One of the most brilliant world-fusion producers of our time”, David Starfire is known as the pioneer of the Global Bass genre and composer of music for meditation and psychedelic assisted therapy. Billboard summed it up best, “David Starfire brings a unique perspective to EDM.”
David has performed at prominent festivals such as Winter Music Conference, Coachella, Outside Lands, Envision, Burning Man, Eclipse, and Lightning in a Bottle. He’s been direct support for the likes of Skrillex, CloZee, Tipper and collaborated with top artists such as Afrika Bambaataa, Sizzla, Alex Grey, Ram Dass, Alan Watts, Ooah (The Glitch Mob), Sidecar Tommy (Beats Antique), William Close, and the Grammy Award-nominated vocalist Chaytanya. His Ascend album reached #7 on the iTunes World Music chart and he had two #1 remixes on the Hype Machine. He’s traded remixes with CloZee, Desert Dwellers, iLL Gates, Beats Antique, and SOOHAN.
David is the music facilitator for meditation retreats with the likes of Deepak Chopra, Robert Thurman, Richard Schwartz (IFS), Sunny Strasburg and others. He worked with Phil Wolfson (MAPS researcher, The Ketamine Papers) on the K Dome Project. He developed the TRIPP meditation phone app with their team, plus contributed music and was the main curator of the music content including well known names such as Moby, Ram Dass, Alan Watts, Desert Dwellers, Dirtwire and others. In 2023, David released a highly acclaimed album with meditations by Ram Dass. Currently he is working on an EP with talks by Alan Watts. He’s also the head of music and sound at TRIPP VR, the #1 meditation platform in virtual reality. In 2020, David co-founded PsyAssist with Sunny Strasburg, a VR and Phone app that features music and guided meditation for psychedelic assisted therapy.
STEVEN JP COMEAU BIO
Producer, Musician, DJ, Builder, Designer & Entrepreneur, Steven is a multi-faceted artist and human being.
From 1998 to 2012, Steven built a wildly successful children’s television and new media production company in Halifax Nova Scotia. He himself is an award-winning
Entrepreneur, creator, and producer, receiving awards such as Canada’s Top 40 Under 40, celebrating Canada’s brightest young executives, as well as a Gemini Award, the Canadian equivalent of an Emmy.
With both a fine arts degree and an MBA, Steven’s interests and education span a wide spectrum, and it shows in his work.
Throughout all this, Steven has always been involved in music, making original material and producing other artists as well. In 1995, Steven, with his band, produced a #1 hit on the Canadian dance charts. Since then, he has played countless shows, from festivals to clubs. Steven is also a DJ. As part of Salt Lake City’s Ellipsis Collective, Steve was involved in throwing some of the most infamous and memorable warehouse events the city has ever seen.
Steven has now been specializing in immersive and spatial audio, installing full surround systems in studios, and mixing and mastering several albums for clients. Now Steven is looking to create innovative live spatial and immersive audio experiences.
